The product of five years of research and development in close cooperation with the USMC and the US ARMY, this #1602 pack frame was the backbone of the Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system . The #1602 was state of the art, prior to the introduction of the new #1603 MOLLE Pack Frame
These heavily-padded shoulder straps are part of the MOLLE system, and are adjustable for varying torso lengths. In the MOLLE system (as compared to the older ALICE system) more weight is distributed at the shoulders and hips, and during a prolonged road march, soldiers can shift the weight to where it feels more comfortable.
These shoulder straps are designed to work with the MOLLE frame and waist belt (not included).
